Briley Fillenwarth

Briley Fillenwarth enters her third season at the helm of the Women's Soccer Program and second year as the Assistant Sports Information Director..  Fillenwarth came to the Royals from The University of the Cumberlands in Kentucky, where she played college soccer as a goalkeeper and was a leader with the Fellowship of Christian Athletes.  Prior to her time at the University of the Cumberlands, Fillenwarth was a coach at a Corbin Independent School where she concentrated on the goalkeepers.  

In her first season with Regent, Coach Fillenwarth led the team to two wins over NCAA DIII teams, while also guiding the Royals to their largest winning margin in a single game (14-0 win).  Her team produced five NCCAA All-South Region selections to along with an NCCAA Scholar Athlete.  The team as a whole was named an NCCAA Scholar Team for their hard work in the classroom.  During the 2026 season, she had both of her Goalkeepers break the single game save record and produced the Coast-To-Coast Athletic Confernece Season Save Leader.  In addition, her team was named an All-Scholar team for the second year in a row and had eight players named to the Scholar Team.             

Fillenwarth holds a Bachelors of Arts in Exercise Sports Science with a Minor in Coaching and a Masters Degree in Health and Human Performances.  Both her degrees are from The University of The Cumberlands.  She currently resides in Virginia Beach, VA.
