Regent University Director of Athletics Michael Allen has announced the appointment of Kylie McLendon as the department’s Office Manager and Compliance Officer. A former Women’s Basketball student-athlete for the Royals, McLendon will also continue to serve in her role as a volunteer coach for the team.

“We are pleased to have Kylie McLendon join our Royals athletic department,” said Allen. “She is a graduate of Regent, a former student-athlete, and serves as a volunteer coach. Kylie understands our culture and what we are trying to build here. There is no doubt she will help our department run more efficiently and I look forward to seeing her blossom and develop as she begins her professional career here at Regent.”

As Office Manager, Kylie will oversee the daily operations of the athletic department which includes communicating with other schools, sending out game contracts and keeping track of all inventory. In addition, in her role as the department’s Compliance Officer, she will oversee student-athlete eligibility, while ensuring the University is in line with all NCCAA rules and regulations.

Born and raised in the Kempsville area of Virginia Beach, McLendon is a 2015 graduate of Gateway Christian Academy, where she attended from K3-12th grade.  Kylie eventually enrolled in Regent University in the fall of 2019, where she was a member of the women's basketball team, helping lay the foundation of the program.

She graduated with a degree in Criminal Justice in 2022 and currently resides in Virginia Beach.
