Michael Rose

Coach Rose is entering his third year at the helm of the Cross Country and Track & Field programs.  After being named Head Coach, Rose's teams saw instant success, setting numerous Regent records, while guiding the Track & Field team to the National Championships.  In addition, Rose's program produced an Indoor Track All-American in 2024 and an Outdoor Track All-American in 2025, while producing the first Regent Cross Country National Qualifier.  Under his guidance, the Women's Cross Country team recorded their first ever 1st place overall finish in 2025, while both the Men's and Women's teams qualified for the Coast-To-Coast Athletic Conference Championships in California.  

Coach Rose is originally from Portmore, Jamaica, where he cultivated his passion as a runner before coming to the U.S. to compete at the collegiate level. He began his college career at Southwestern Christian before transferring to Auburn University. Shortly after graduation, Rose took his first coaching position as an assistant coach with the Hampton Roads Christian Crusaders. Since then, he has held multiple head coach jobs, most recently at Tallwood High School. Rose is also heavily involved in as the Council Administrator for Faith In Action Ministries Athletics & Recreation which teaches young athletes about Christian values through sports.  In addition, three of Rose's children have or are currently competing in Track & Field at the NCAA Division I level.
