Winston-Salem, NC- The Regent Royals women's soccer team fell 2-0 to Carolina University in the program's first-ever regional playoff game on Saturday, November 13th. The Royal's tough defense kept the game in striking distance, but they could not find the offensive rhythm needed to take back the lead.

Marelly Balentina put in a strong effort at goalie, coming up with seven saves over 90 minutes of play.
Team Notes-
The Royals came on strong in the second-half of the season winning four of their last eight to close the year at 5-8 and qualify for the NCCAA South Regional playoffs.
