Virginia Beach, VA - The Regent Royals women's basketball team lost to Virginia Wesleyan University 55 - 35 on Sunday, November 13. The Royals showed promise on the defensive end, forcing the Marlins into tough shots and holding them to only 33% FG for the game but never found the offensive rhythm to take the lead.
Royals Standouts -
Junior Kaila Murrell led the Royals in both scoring and rebounding, putting up 13 points while bringing in seven boards.
Freshman Olivia Thompson showed off a solid shooting touch going 2 -4 from deep to finish with eight points on the game while adding five rebounds to the effort.
