Newport News, VA - The Regent Royals women's basketball team lost to EMAC rival Newport News Apprentice School 67-42 on Wednesday, February 2nd. The Royals got off to a hot start holding a 16-14 lead at the end of the first quarter, but a 13-2 run by the Builders early in the second would prove too much to overcome.

Royals Standouts-
Junior Brooke Glisson recorded her second consecutive double-double to finish with 10 points and a game-high 14 rebounds.
Freshman Desiree Cross attacked the basket early and often to drop 12 points while adding five assists and a steal.

Game Notes-
The Royals fall to 1-10 on the season and will look for their first EMAC win against Johnson & Wales University on Saturday, February 5th.
