Virginia Beach, VA - The Regent Royals women's volleyball team won three sets to one (25-22, 22-25, 25-19, 25-16) over Mid-Atlantic Christian University on Wednesday, August 30. After dropping a tightly contested second set to even the game, the young Royals put together some impressive runs to take control of the final two sets and win their season opener.
Royals Standouts -
Sophomore
Jordan Banister led the Royal's attack with 18 kills while adding 15 digs and two blocks.
Freshman
Nicole Walston had an impressive debut coming away with 17 kills coupled with a strong .548 attack percentage.

Coaches Corner -
On the team's season-opening win, Coach K.T. stated she was, "Very happy to have this first win under our belt as such a young program. While we are excited about tonight's victory, I see so many areas for growth within our young team, and we have a lot of hard work ahead of us if we want to continue experiencing victory."
