Norfolk, VA- The Regent Royals men's soccer team lost 2-1 to Bridgewater College on Thursday, September 1. After a scoreless first half, the Royals got on the board first, scoring at the 56-minute mark before Bridgewater answered with two quick goals to put the game away.

Freshman
David Rowe scored the Royal's first goal of the year on a scorcher just over ten minutes into the second half and continued to pressure the Eagle's defense throughout the game.
Coaches Corner -
Coach Okai was proud of the way the Royals battled throughout the night, saying before the game he told his team " to be brave, play hard, stay focused, play for one another, and believe, and they exceeded my expectations."

The Royals are now 0-1 on the year and will look to pick up their first victory as they host Johnson & Wales University in the second half of a doubleheader with women's soccer at 4:00 PM on Saturday, September 3.
