Front Royal, VA - The Regent Royals women's volleyball team took part in a tri-match with Christendom College and Penn State Beaver this past Saturday, September 9. In their first match against Christendom, the Royals fell three sets to one (23-25, 17-25, 25-12, 16-25) against a strong Crusaders team. Regent bounced back quickly in their second matchup, toppling PSU - Beaver three sets to one (25-18, 25-21, 8-25, 25-17) to split the tri-match.

Royal Standouts -
Freshman Nicole Walston continued to be an offensive force for the Royals, leading the team in kills in both matches, finishing with 22 and 16 on the day.
Freshman Makayla Daniels excelled in the passing game setting up teammates for easy points throughout the day. She led the team in assists for both matches totaling 33 against Christendom and 22 against PSU - Beaver.

Team Notes -
The Royals move 2-1 on the season and will hit the road Friday, September 16th, for a matchup with Mary Baldwin College.
