Charlotte, NC – On Saturday afternoon the Regent University Men's Soccer team found themselves in the Tarheel State, more specifically the Queen City, to face Johnson & Wales University. This match-up would prove to be a tough one, as the Wildcats were undefeated on the season. The Royals were looking to end that streak and pick up their fifth win of the season.
The first half saw Regent fall behind early in the fourth minute and then eventually found themselves trailing at the half, 4-0. In the second half, the Royals defense played strong to help Freshman Connor Henriques (Spotsylvania, VA) keep it scoreless. While it was not the outcome Regent was hoping for, Head Coach Samuel Okai will certainly regroup his team and get ready for their next game.
The Royals will be back in action on Wednesday, October 18th when they travel through the tunnel for a scrimmage with Virginia Peninsula Community College. Kick-off is scheduled for 6:00pm.
