Virginia Beach, VA - After falling behind in the first half 42-26, the Regent University Men's Basketball team stormed back to out score Carlow University by 16 points in the second half, forcing overtime for the first time this year. While the outcome was not what the Royals had hoped for, they showed that they have heart and the talent to compete with anyone on their schedule. They walked off the court with their head's held high, despite falling by a final score of 87-79.
Regent was led by Freshman
Marion Brown (Chesapeake, VA) who finished the game with 21 points, while going a perfect 3-3 from the three-point line. In addition, Sophomore
Darrin Clark (Suffolk, VA) added 16 points and Junior
Joakim Marie-Joseph (Saint Martin, VI) grabbed a total of 7 rebounds. It will be a quick turnaround for the Royals as they will make the drive over to Ferrum University on Sunday, November 19th for a double header with the Regent Women's Team. Tip-off is scheduled for 4:00pm.
