Virginia Beach, VA - On Friday afternoon, the Regent Men's Basketball team opened the 2023-2024 season, at home, against NAIA member Saint Andrews University in front of a large energetic crowd. The game would turn out to be both a fast and physical one, with both teams looking to start their campaign in the win column. The Royals showed they were ready to play, going into the locker room trailing by single digits, 39-30, however the game would slip away in the second half, as the Knights went on a large run to defeat Regent by a final score of 93-61.
The Royals were led by Freshman
Kristofer Norman (Norfolk, VA), who finished the game with 13 points, while finishing with a team high 6 free throws. In addition, Junior
Joakim Marie-Joseph (Saint Martin, Virgin Islands) scored 9 points to go along with his team high 9 rebounds and Sophomore
