Box Score 2 Rock Hill, SC - The Regent Women's Volleyball team continued their weekend road trip in the Carolinas as they competed in a tri-match with Clinton College and Johnson & Wales University. It was another opportunity for the Royals to get their first win of the young season as they faced two opponents they are very familiar with. After two face paced matches, Regent was able to accomplish that goal by earning a split, defeating JWU 3-0, but falling to Clinton 0-3.

The Royals were led by Freshman
Alaina Braun-Duin (Richmond, VA) who dominated the game with her collegiate career high of 15 kills, while Sophomore
Erin Saunders (Danville, VA) added 9 kills to go along with her 4 digs. In addition, Senior
Jordan Banister (Chesapeake, VA) recorded a team high 4 blocks and Senior
Shaley Wertz (Kansas City, MO) dished out a game high 26 assists.
Game 2
Lost 0-3 to Clinton College
Saunders led Regent with 12 kills and 15 digs, while Braun-Duin added a total of 10 kills. Wertz, once again, was the team leader in assists, finishing with 25 and Banister and Sophomore
Eliana Winn (Albuquerque, NM) each chipped in with 2 blocks.
The Royals will be back in action when they travel to South Carolina again for four matches on Friday and Saturday, Sept 13th and 14th. They will begin the weekend with a rematch against Clinton College. First serve is scheduled for 5:00pm at Bob Jones University.
