Regent Concludes Season At Warren Wilson

Swannanoa, NC – After hot August pre-season practices and countless hours on the road, the Regent University Men's Soccer team played its last game of the season Sunday afternoon on the road against Warren Wilson College.  The Royals are finishing competing in their first year as members of the Coast-To-Coast Athletic Conference and even though today to not end the way they wanted, Senior Graylan Gill (Beaverdam, VA) was able to end his career at Regent scoring on a penalty kick right before time expired.  That goal was a tribute to not only his dedication but the dedication of his fellow Seniors Drew Thomas (Lynchburg, VA), Loyd Shelton (Franklin, VA), Connor Bailey (Powhatan, VA), and Caswell Baylis (Virginia Beach, VA).  They will all be remembered, not only for their play on the field, but their commitment to becoming Christian Leaders to Change the World.

In addition, this season saw Junior Yann-Olivier Kamga (Woodbridge, VA) set the program's Single Season Goal Record, while ranking among the top scorers in the Conference.  Fellow Junior Connor Henriques (Spotsylvania, VA) led the Conference most of the season in saves and Gill finished the season tied for second in the Conference for total assists.  With their first full slate of NCAA DIII games in the books, the Royals will now turn their attention to the off season as they look to continue to build their roster to complement the current players.

The Athletic Department would like to thank the team for the way they represented the University this season and for, once again, moving the needle.
