Richard Pullen

Richard Pullen was named the Head Men's Basketball Coach in July of 2022. He served as an assistant coach in two different stints since basketball was launched at Regent in 2018-19. 

Pullen is a native of Lyons, New York, a small town in upstate New York. After graduating from Clyde-Savannah High School, he went on to earn a B.S. in Physical Education with a concentration in Exercise Physiology at SUNY Brockport and a M.A. in Leadership Studies from Regent University.

A three-time MVP, Pullen starred on the men's basketball teams at FLCC  and Brockport leading both teams in scoring while earning All-Conference and All-SUNYAC honors. Upon graduating from Brockport, he spent some time traveling with Meadowlark Lemon and his Harlem All-Star team.

He and his wife Liane, reside in Franklin, Virginia, where Pullen teaches at Franklin High School. They are blessed with three sons Stephen, Joseph, and Jonathan.
