Brian Wilson

Brian Wilson was named as the Head Coach of Women's Basketball in January of 2021. Brian began his coaching career in 1996 as a JV assistant coach and has since coached across many levels of basketball.  He has held roles as the varsity head coach at Buckingham Country High School (2005-2009) and Nelson County High School (2016-2020).

Throughout his career, Coach Wilson's teams have found success on numerous occasions. He has helped lead teams to district championships seven times, three regional championships , and was a state semifinalist in 2008. Brian has also earned several coaching awards, including two-time “District Coach of the Year” and “Regional Coach of the Year”. In both 2008 and 2020, Brian had the honor of coaching in the VHSCA Boys State All-Star Basketball game.

Brian graduated from the University of Virginia with a BS in Sociology in 1998 and in 2006 received his Master's ED from the University of Phoenix. While at UVA, he met his wife, LaTishia, where they are blessed with three children together - twin daughters Brianna and LeTia, and son Brice.
