Virginia Beach, VA - The Regent Royals men's basketball team lost to Virginia Wesleyan University 76 - 51 on Wednesday, November 9. The Royals got off to a slow start before finding their rhythm in the second half, going 5-8 from three to make a late run, but the Marlins offense responded to hold onto the lead.
Royals Standouts -
Junior Joakim Marie-Joseph dominated the glass for the Royals, tying a Regent record with 18 rebounds on the night. He added seven points and two steals to the effort.
Junior Samir Brown helped spark the Royal's offensive in the closing period knocking down three treys (3 -4 3PT) to finish with a team-high 11 points.

The Royals are now 0-2 on the season and next take on NCAA Division I Hampton University in an exhibition game on Saturday, November 10, at 8:00 PM.
