Newport News, VA - The Regent Royals men's basketball team lost 80-64 to the Apprentice School on Tuesday, February 17th. In a physical battle, the two teams traded leads late into the second before an 11-2 run by the Builders put the game out of reach.
Royals Standouts-
Senior
Stanley Adjei continued his scoring tear hitting double digits for the third consecutive game. Adjei opened the game scoring the Royals' first 13 points, and stayed hot to finish with 23 points and eight rebounds on the night.
Senior Tre Holland played a strong game as the point of attack defender working to contain the high-powered Builder offense. He added six points on 3-5 shooting and three assists.
Team Notes-
The Royals will host Christendom College in their final regular-season game on Saturday, February 19th. Prior to the game, Regent Athletics will hold a short ceremony to honor the program's seniors and first graduating class.
