Kissimmee, FL - On Monday, the Regent University Women's Soccer team made history as they stepped on the field to participate in the program's first ever National Tournament. As the #6 seed, they would have to play the #2 seed Columbia International University, who was coming in with 12 wins on the season. While it was not the outcome the Royals had hoped for, they did gain valuable experience that will help them as they prepare for their second game of pool play.
Freshman
Olivia Charles (Barboursville, WV) led Regent with 5 shots and 2 shots on goal, while goalkeepers Freshmen
Kristen MIller (Peoria, AZ) and
Gracie Madden (Ashland, KY) combined for 5 saves. The Royals will be back in action on Tuesday, November 28th as they play their second game of pool play against Southwestern Assemblies of God. Kick-off is scheduled for 3:30pm.
