Norfolk, VA – After a cold week, the weather finally improved just in time for the Regent University Women's Soccer team to play their final regular season game of the season. They were determined to go out on a winning note and after an emotional Senior Day last week the Royals wanted to carry that momentum over to tonight. However, standing in their way was a strong Carolina University team that has been one of the best in the Region. 

Most of the first half, both teams went toe-to-toe and the score remained tied at 0-0. Unfortunately, Carolina was able to break through and Regent would go into the half trailing 1-0. Freshman Olivia Charles (Barboursville, WV) put the Royals on the board in the second half to tie the game at 1-1, but a few minutes later, the Bruins took the lead and after a few more opportunities Regent would fall by a final score of 2-1. 

After a very successful season, Head Coach Christine Moorehead and her team will prepare for the NCCAA Regional Tournament, which begins November 14th in Winston-Salem, NC. Stay tuned for full schedule and times.
