Raleigh, NC - On Wednesday afternoon, the Regent University Women's Soccer team hit the road for a mid-week match-up with William Peace University. It was their third game in a row against a school from the USA South Conference. Both teams were looking for their second win of the season and the game would prove to be a back and forth contest, with the Royals trying to create scoring opportunities.
Regent fell behind early in the first half and would give up another goal, sending them into the half trailing 2-0. However, just a few minutes into the second half (47:05), Sophomore
Rhyan Primmer (Stafford, VA) took advantage of a Pacers foul in the box, allowing her to put her team on the board by converting a penalty kick, cutting the score to 2-1. For 30 minutes, the Royals and William Peace traded shots but eventually the Pacers found the back of the next three more times to increase their lead and, as the clock hit zero, Regent would fall by a final score of 5-1.
The Royals will be back in action on Saturday, September 14th as they host Randolph College. Kick-off is scheduled for 2:00pm.
