Royals Honor Seniors In Final Home Against Virginia State

Norfolk, VA – With the regular season coming to an end, the Regent University Women's Soccer team welcomed in Virginia State University in their final game before the Coast-To-Coast Athletic Conference Tournament.  In addition, the Royals were also celebrating Senior Day as they honored Seniors Marissa Crawley (Charlotte, NC) and Phoebe Lotz (Capron, VA).  While the outcome was not what Regent had anticipated, their inspired play was motivated by the opportunity to play one last time at home with their two teammates.

Phoebe Lotz

Phoebe is accompanied today by her father Dr. John-Paul Lotz and mother, Susan Lotz.  Phoebe, from Capron, VA has appeared in 17 games, started 8 of them, while tallying 735 minutes of playing time.  While at Regent, Phoebe has become an Honors College Scholar, has a 3.8GPA as a member of the Dean's Circle and is the Editorial Director of Regent's Academic Journal, The Initiative. Lotz will graduate this Spring with a degree in American Government with a Concentration in Pre-Law and plans to marry her fiancé and relocate to Durham, NC where she will begin working as a paralegal while studying for the LSAT's as she prepares to attend law school.

Marissa Crawley

Crawley, a team Captain from Charlotte, has appeared in 62 games, while starting 59 of them during her career with Regent.  Carissa will leave the Royals as the program's 2nd all-time leading scorer with 9 career goals and 3 career assists, while logging over 4,000 minutes on the field.  During her career, Marissa has played nearly every position on the field, while proudly representing the team as one of the 2025 SCCAA Representatives and is currently completing an internship in the Athletic Department under Assistant Athletic Director Katie Reyes.  Crawley will graduate with a degree in Business with a concentration in Sports Management and hopes to start a career in sports, continuing to grow her experience in athletics and eventually working in college or professional sports management.

The Royals will now turn their focus to the Conference Tournament beginning Thursday, November 6th in Salisbury, MD.  Stay tuned to www.regentroyals.com for updates on seeding and game information.
