Men's And Women's Cross Country Ranked #5 In C2C Pre-Season Poll

Virginia Beach, VA – On Friday, the Coast-To-Coast Conference (C2C) officially released its pre-season Men's and Women's Cross Country rankings for the upcoming 2025 season.  Regent University makes their first ever appearance in the polls coming in at #5 out of the seven conference members.

On the men's side, Head Coach Michael Rose has assembled his largest roster in program history which is highlighted by School Record holder Junior Aaron Jacobs (Stafford, VA). Last season, Jacobs became the first Royals runner to ever qualify for the NCCAA National Championships, where he finished 28th overall. In addition, Sophomore Thomas Slingluff (Suffolk, VA), who produced Regent's second overall best performance last season, returns for his second year, while Freshman Bryce Nearman (Stafford, VA) looks to make an immediate impact.

On the women's side, Coach Rose will welcome in nine new faces this season, highlighted by Sophomore Samantha Bodnar (Calgary, Alberta, Canada). Bodnar had a successful freshman season competing with the Track & Field team in distance running events and she will look to translate that success to Cross Country. In addition, fellow Sophomore Jordana Foose (Chesterfield, VA) has transferred over from the Soccer team to run Cross Country this season.

The Royals will open up the season on August 30th in Maryland at the Salisbury Fall Classic.
