Decatur, GA – Goals from Senior Marissa Crawley (Charlotte, NC) and Sophomore Faith Perez (Bakersfield, CA) highlighted the Regent University Women's Soccer team's first game of a swing through the Peach State as they defeated host Wesleyan College by a final score of 2-0.  Crawley scored the first goal as time was about to expire in the first half.  It was her second goal of the season, while Perez scored her first of year at the 67:19 mark.    With the points on the board, Junior Kristen Miller (Peoria, AZ) and Freshman Vera Bagley (Suffolk, VA) only had to turn away one shot to combine for the shutout.   

As a team, the Royals out shot the Wolves by a margin of 33-2 and attempted six corner kicks in the game.  This was the first win of the year for Regent, and they will look to do it again on Thursday, September 11th when they stay in Georgia for match-up a with Agnes Scott College.  Kick-off is scheduled for 4:00pm.
