Fredericksburg, VA – For the first time in program history the Regent University Men's Soccer team took the field for a Coast-To-Coast Conference regular season game.  Tonight, they would face the #9 nationally ranked team in the country, the University of Mary Washington.  After sweeping their two games last weekend, the Royals were looking to carry that momentum into their match-up with the Eagles and start conference play off on the right foot.   

While Regent was able to turn away a number of Mary Washington scoring opportunities, the #9 Eagles outshot the Royals and controlled their home field as Regent would fall by a final score of 5-0.  Juniors Yann-Olivier Kamga (Woodbridge, VA) and Isaiah Morris (Harrisonburg, VA) led the way on offensive for Regent, while Freshman Landon Farley (Suffolk, VA) was able to get a shot on goal.  In goal, Junior Connor Henriques (Spotsylvania, VA) finished the game with 10 saves. 

The Royals will be back in action on Sunday, September 7th as they stay on the road and head to Ashland, VA for a match-up with Randolph-Macon College.  Kick-off is scheduled for 1:00pm.
