Virginia Beach, VA - In a season that has seen the Regent University Women's Baskeyball team's young Freshman have to grow up fast, Sunday's final home game against Warren Wilson College saw another milestone for the Royals. Freshman
Mikaylah Telfer (Chesapeake), who is currently #2 in the Coast-To-Coast Athletic Conference in Total Rebounds, had the best game in program history for rebounds as she grabbed a total of 24 (9 Off and 15 Def) which set a single game record. In addition, she added 11 points to finish the game with a double-double. While Regent was unable to come away with the win, falling 70-52, they closed out the home schedule in front of a supportive crowd who have appreciated their toughness throughout the season.

Kennedy Shipman (Virginia Beach, VA) led the charge with a team-high 15 points, including three clutch three-pointers. Junior
My'Angel Carter (Toccoa, GA) added to her own program record with another double-double scoring 13 points and grabbing 11 rebounds, providing a spark off the bench and converting key free throws to keep Regent in the game. Junior
Shardae Williams (Fredericksburg, VA), who was back in the lineup after dealing with an injury, finished the game with 7 points in 12 minutes of play, while Freshman
Eliza Entzminger (Winterville, NC) chipped in 4 points and dished out 3 assists. As a team, he Royals' defense was able to force 11 turnovers, turning them into 7 points.
Regent will close out the regular season on Saturday, February 21st when they travel to Maryland to face Salisbury University. Tip-off is set for 2:00pm.
