Virginia Beach, VA - The Regent University Men's and Women's Cross Country team has officially released its 2026 Fall Schedule. This year's schedule features six regular season meets in addition to the Coast-To-Coast Athletic Conference Championships in Salisbury, MD. The fall season will represent the Royals' second at the NCAA DIII level as they are coming off a 2025 season that saw the Women's team win its first ever overall meet, while the Men's team finished second for the first time. In addition, both teams had a number of Top 15 finishes throughout the season.
Regent will open up the season with a trip to Maryland as they compete in the Salisbury Fall Classic, hosted by Salisbury University, on September 5th. Two weeks later, on September 18th they will make the short trip to Newport News, VA for the CNU XC Invitational, which is followed by a return trip to Maryland on September 26th for the Dan Cathcart Invitational.
On October 2nd the Royals will travel to the Tarheel State for the Ben Snelling Cancer Classic at Louisburg College and then participate in the VSU XC Challenge on October 9th at Virginia State University in Petersburg, VA. Regent will round out the regular season on October 17th at the Roanoke XC Invitational in Salem, VA before traveling back to Maryland to compete in the Coast-To-Coast Athletic Conference Championships on October 31st at Salisbury University.
Junior Thomas Slingluff (Suffolk, VA) and long-distance runner Sophomore Louise Monga-Rochard (Toano, VA) return to lead a Royals team that made a strong impact in the conference last season. Monga-Rochard will look to lead her team after becoming the first Regent runner to ever secure a first-place overall finish in a regular season meet.
