Historic Day Two At C2C Championships As Regent Breaks Six School Records

Fredericksburg, VA – Day Two of the Coast-To-Coast Athletic Conference Championships was a historic Saturday as the Regent University Men's and Women's Track & Field team broke six School Records and earned a second-place finish in the High Jump, along with a Second Team All-Conference recognition.  It was the single best outing in program history for the Royals, and one that helped earn the respect of their fellow competitors.  Below are today's results and highlights.  

Women's 4x100m Relay 

Olojo, Moser, Butler and Wells broke the School Record with a time of 51.81 seconds 

Men's 4x100m Relay 

Vogt, Cropper, Hartsell and Ellis broke the School Record with a time of 45.60 seconds 

Men's 4x400m Relay 

Vogt, Hartsell, Slingluff and Winck finished with a time of 3:33.63 

Women's 1500m 

Freshman Louise Monga-Rochard (Toano, VA) broke the School Record with a time of 5:09.65 

Men's 1500m 

Freshman Thomas Slingluff (Suffolk, VA) broke the School Record with a time of 4:22.39 

Freshman Bryce Nearman (Stafford, VA) ran a Personal Best 4:33.56 

Women's 400m 

Freshman Gabrielle Butler (New Kent VA) ran a time of 1:00.77 

Women's 800m 

Freshman Louise Monga-Rochard (Toano, VA) finished with a Personal Record time of 2:33.68 

Men's 800m 

Freshman Thomas Slingluff (Suffolk, VA) finished with a time of 2:05.08 

Freshman Bryce Nearman (Stafford, VA) ran a Personal Record 2:14.64 

Freshman Xavier Gonzalez had a Personal Record time of 2:36.28 

Women's 200m 

Freshman Gabrielle Butler (New Kent VA) finished with a time of 27.37 seconds 

Freshman Elizabeth Olojo (Hanover, MD) ran a time of 28.58 seconds 

Sophomore Jordana Foose (Chesterfield, VA) set a Personal Record with a time of 29.81 seconds 

Freshman Daria Easton (Freehold, NY) had a Personal Record 30.35 seconds 

Men's 200m 

Freshman Creighton Hartsell (Newport News, VA) ran a Personal Record time of 24.39 seconds 

Freshman Cayden Sierra (Newport News, VA) came in with a Personal Record 27.48 seconds. 

Men's High Jump 

Senior Kevin Cropper (Oak Hall, VA) finished 2nd overall and earned Second Team All-Conference recognition with a jump of 1.94m 

Women's Discuss  

Freshman Zacarah Hubbard (Virgina Beach, VA) made the finals and finished 5th overall with a throw of 31.30m 

Senior LaTonya Hopkins (Virginia Beach, VA) threw distance of 25.88m 

Freshman Mikaela Cole (Farmington, NY) came in at 25.65m 

Freshman Chloe Basnett (Columbus, OH) had a throw of 18.28m 

Men's Discus

Junior Aidan Kingsborough (Clarkston, VA) finished with a throw of 31.01m 

Sophomore Jacob Winck (Breezewood, PA) threw a Persona Record 29.76m 

Women's Javelin 

Senior LaTonya Hopkins (Virginia Beach, VA) threw a Personal Record 27.38m 

Freshman Chloe Basnett (Columbus, OH) had a Personal Record throw 25.23m 

Men's Javelin  

Junior Aidan Kingsborough (Clarkston, VA) broke the School Record with a throw of 44.69m 

Senior Nigel Rodriguez (Virginia Beach, VA) finished with a throw of 33.02m 

Sophomore Jacob Winck (Breezewood, PA) came in at 28.66m 

Sophomore Jaxon Sawyer (Virginia Beach, VA) threw a distance of 24.68m 

Regent will conclude its season on Wednesday, May 6th when they travel to Lynchburg to compete in the Liberty Twilight Qualifier.  Start time is at 11:30am.
