Kingsborough's School Record In Final Meet Helps Royals Finish Historic Season With 22 Total School Records

Lynchburg, VA – The 2026 Outdoor Season came to a close on Wednesday afternoon as the Regent University Men's and Women's Track & Field team competed in their final Meet of the year at the Liberty University Twilight Qualifier.  Coming off a strong performance at the Coast-To-Coast Athletic Conference Championships, the Royals had one more opportunity to add to their historic season and send their Seniors out on top.  As the day came to a close, another School Record was broken, making that a total of nine in the past five days and 22 for the season.     

Men's 100m 

Senior Joshua Vogt (Rochester, NY) finished with a Personal Record time of 11.55 seconds 

Senior Asher Ellis (Morganton, NC) ran a time of 12.14 seconds  

Freshman Creighton Hartsell (Newport News, VA) came in at 12.39 seconds  

Women's 100m 

Freshman Elizabeth Olojo (Hanover. MD) finished with a time of 14.09 seconds 

Junior Shylah Wells (Youngsville, NC) had a time of 14.18 seconds 

Sophomore Jordana Foose (Chesterfield, VA) set a Personal Record of 14.34 seconds 

Freshman Daria Easton (Freehold, NY) ran a Personal Record time of 14.71 seconds 

Women's 100m Hurdles 

Junior Kristi Moser (Indian Trial. NC) finished with a time of 15.48 seconds 

Men's 200m 

Freshman Creighton Hartsell (Newport News, VA) ran a time of 27.62 seconds 

Women's 200m 

Freshman Gabrielle Butler (New Kent, VA) finished with a time of 27.47 seconds 

Sophomore Jordana Foose (Chesterfield, VA) set a Personal Record of 29.53 seconds 

Freshman Daria Easton (Freehold, NY) ran a time of 30.76 seconds 

Men's 400m 

Sophomore Jacob Winck (Breezewood, PA) led the way with a time of 53.08 seconds 

Senior Joshua Vogt (Rochester, NY) finished with a time of 54.05 seconds 

Freshman Creighton Hartsell (Newport News, VA) came in at 57.81 seconds 

Men's 800m 

Freshman Thomas Slingluff (Suffolk, VA) finished with a time of 2:06.92 

Freshman Bryce Nearman (Stafford, VA) came in at 2:15.16 

Sophomore Joel Nyakundi (Kisi, Kenya) ran a time of 2:30.23 

Women's 800m 

Freshman Louise Monga-Rochard (Toano, VA) finished with a Personal Record time of 2:32.72

Freshman Zacarah Hubbard (Virgina Beach, VA) finished with a throw of 28.46m 

Senior LaTonya Hopkins (Virginia Beach, VA) threw distance of 25.84m 

Freshman Chloe Basnett (Columbus, OH) had a Personal Record throw of 21.92m 

Men's Discuss  

Sophomore Jacob Winck (Breezewood, PA) threw a distance of 24.70m 

Women's Shot Put  

Freshman Daesha Hill (Williamsburg, VA) led the way with a throw of 9.33m 

Freshman Zacarah Hubbard (Virginia Beach, VA) had throw of 9.31m 

Senior LaTonya Hopkins (Virginia Beach, VA) finished with a throw of 9.17m 

Freshman Mikaela Cole (Farmington, NY) threw a distance of 9.10m 

Women's Long Jump 

Junior Shylah Wells (Youngsville, NC) finished with a jump of 4.26m 

Men's High Jump 

Senior Kevin Cropper (Oak Hall, VA) completed his record-breaking collegiate career with a jump of 1.89m 

Women's Hammer Throw  

Freshman Mikaela Cole (Farmington, NY) threw a distance of 31.95m 

Men's Hammer Throw   

Senior Nigel Rodriguez (Virginia Beach, VA) had a throw of 39.44m 

Junior Aidan Kingsborough (Clarkston, VA) came in at 38.76m 

Women's Javelin 

Senior LaTonya Hopkins (Virginia Beach, VA) finished with a throw of 24.55m 

Freshman Chloe Basnett (Columbus, OH) threw a distance of 22.99m 

Men's Javelin  

Junior Aidan Kingsborough (Clarkston, VA) broke the School Record with a throw of 45.93m 

Senior Nigel Rodriguez (Virginia Beach, VA) finished with a throw of 33.02m 

Sophomore Jaxon Sawyer (Virginia Beach, VA) 

Regent will now focus on the offseason as they get ready for August and the start of a new year.  Coach Rose is growing his team and looks to continue to compete for a Conference Championship.
