Greensboro, NC – Day Two represented the final time the Regent University Men's and Women's Track & Field team would compete in the 2025 regular season.  After a successful Day One, the Royals were looking to once again add to the history books and finish the season strong. 

The Men's Shot Put began the day as Sophomore Aidan Kingsborough (Clarkston, WA) led the way by setting a School Record with a throw of 11.23m and was followed by Junior Ernest Park III (Bentonville, AR) who finished at 10.03m.  In addition, Freshman Jaxon Sawyer (Virginia Beach, VA) threw a distance of 7.16m.  Meanwhile, in the Women's Shot Put Sophomore Shylah Wells (Youngsville, NC) completed the event with a throw of 5.72m   

On the track, Freshman Sophia Moritz (Virginia Beach, VA) and Wells both set Records in the Women's 100m Hurdles with Mortiz breaking the School Record by finishing with a time of 16.22 and Wells setting her new Personal Record at 18.87.  Another Personal Record was set in the Women's 800m as Freshman Samantha Bodnar (Calgary, Alberta, Canada) completed the race in 2:47.18.  In the Men's 110m Hurdles, Freshman Jacob Winck (Breezewood, PA) ran a time of 17.44 and then in the Men's 800m fellow Freshman Thomas Slingluff (Suffolk, VA) set a Personal Record with a time of 2:05.00.  That was followed by three more Personal Records to end the day from Freshman Ariana Jones (Chesapeake, VA) in the Women's 100m as she ran it in 14.79, Freshman Adam Baugus (Chesapeake, VA) in the Men's 100m with a time of 12.45 and Winck in the Men's 400m at 52.04.   

Thid concludes the regular season for Regent, and they will now turn their attention to next week's NCCAA National Championships in Columbia, SC on May 8th and 9th.  Junior Kevin Cropper (Oak Hall, VA) and Moritz will compete for an opportunity to become an All-American.  Stay tuned to www.regentroyals.com for updates and results.
