Virginia Beach, VA – In a tune-up for the Coast-To-Coast Athletic Conference Championships next weekend, the Regent University Men's and Women's Track & Field team stayed close to home this weekend and wrapped up Day One of the Norfolk State University Pre-Nationals.  All results are listed below.   

Women's Track Events   

60m Dash:   

• Junior Shylah Wells (Youngsville, NC) set a Personal Record with a time of 8.80 seconds. 

• Freshman Elizabeth Olojo (Hanover, MD) came in at 8.85 seconds.  

• Sophomore Jordana Foose (Chesterfield, VA) tied her Personal Record of 9.00m.  

60m Hurdles 

• Junior Kristi Moser (Indian Trail, NC) finished 2nd in her Heat with a time of 9.93 seconds. 

800m Run:   

• Freshman Gabrielle Butler (New Kent, VA) finished 4th in her Heat and set a Personal Record with a time of 2:25.88  

• Freshman Louise Monga-Rochard (Toano, VA) came in 3rd in her Heat setting a Personal Record at 2:35.50 

1 Mile Run:   

• Freshman Louise Monga-Rochard (Toano, VA) finished with a time of 5:58.03 

Women's Field Events   

Long Jump:   

• Junior Kristi Moser (Indian Trail, NC) led the way with a jump of 4.57m 

• Junior Shylah Wells (Youngsville, NC) finished with a jump of 3.98m 

• Freshman Elizabeth Olojo (Hanover, MD) had a jump of 3.91m 

Weight Throw:   

• Freshman Daesha Hill (Williamsburg, VA) led the way with a throw of 9.23m 

• Freshman LaTanya Hopkins (Virginia Beach, VA) came in at 8.89m 

• Freshman Zacarah Hubbard (Virginia Beach, VA) set a Personal Record with a throw of 4.57m 

Men's Track Events   

60m Dash:   

• Senior Asher Ellis (Morganton, NC) finished with a time of 8,12 seconds. 

800m Run:   

• Sophomore Thomas Isaac (Burke, VA) set a School Record with a time of 2:06.10 

• Sophomore Thomas Slingluff (Suffolk, VA) came in at 2:08.83 

• Freshman Bryce Nearman (Stafford, VA) finished with a time of 2:21.61 

1 Mile Run:   

• Sophomore Thomas Slingluff (Suffolk, VA) led the way with a time of 4:51.92 

• Freshman Bryce Nearman (Stafford, VA) set a Personal Record of 5:24.97 

• Freshman Creighton Hartsell (Newport News, VA) had a Personal Record time of 5:41.02 

• Freshman Cayden Sierra (Newport News, VA) set a Personal Record of 5:52.84 

Men's Field Events   

Weight Throw:   

• Junior Aidan Kingsborough (Clarkston, VA) broke his own School Record with a throw of 13.28m  

• Junior Nigel Rodriguez (Virginia Beach, VA) set a Personal Record on a throw of 12.07m 

• Senior Ernest Park III (Bentonville, AR) had a Personal Record throw of 9.56m 

• Senior Evan Pond (Powhatan, VA) finished with a throw of 8.56m 

• Sophomore Jaxon Sawyer (Virginia Beach, VA) had a throw of 6.19m  

The Royals will be back in action on Saturday, February 14th when they compete in Day Two of the NSU Pre-Nationals.
