Virginia Beach, VA – After turning in a record-breaking performance on Day One of the Norfolk State University Pre-Nationals Meet, the Regent University Men's and Women's Track and Field team looked to keep that momentum as they competed Saturday in Day Two of the event.  While there were not as many events on the schedule as yesterday, the Royals still saw it as an opportunity to get in one more tune-up before next week's Coast-To-Coast Athletic Conference Championships. Results are listed below.   

Women's Track Events 

200m Dash: 

• Freshman Elizabeth Olojo (Hanover, MD) finished with a time of 29.03 seconds.  

• Sophomore Jordana Foose (Chesterfield, VA) set a Personal Record with a time of 29.94 seconds.   

Women's Field Events        

Shot Put  

• Freshman Mikaela Cole (Farmington, NY) led the way and set a Personal Record throwing 9.52m 

• Freshman Zacarah Hubbard (Virginia Beach, VA) finished with a Personal Record throw of 9.44m 

• Freshman Mikaela Cole (Farmington, NY)  

• Freshman Daesha Hill (Williamsburg, VA) set a Personal Record at 8.46m 

• Freshman LaTanya Hopkins (Virginia Beach, VA) came in at 8.02m 

Men's Track Events    

Men's 3000 Run: 

• Freshman Creighton Hartsell (Newport News, VA) finished at 11:44.65 

• Freshman Cayden Sierra (Newport News, VA) came in at 12:58.58 

Men's 4000m DMR:    

• Sophomore Thomas Isaac (Burke, VA), Freshman Creighton Hartsell (Newport News, VA), Freshman Bryce Nearman (Stafford, VA) and Freshman Cayden Sierra (Newport News, VA) ran the event for the first time and finished with a time of 12:15.11 

Men's Field Events    

Shot Put:    

• Junior Aidan Kingsborough (Clarkston, VA) led the way with a throw of 10.86m 

• Senior Ernest Park III (Bentonville, AR) finished with a Season Best 10.10m 

• Junior Nigel Rodriguez (Virginia Beach, VA) had a throw of 9.11m 

• Senior Evan Pond (Powhatan, VA) came in at 8.06m 

• Sophomore Jaxon Sawyer (Virginia Beach, VA) finished with a throw of 7.72m 

Regent will now turn its focus to the Conference Championships, which begin Friday, February 20th at Christopher Newport University.
