Regent Produces Two Event Wins And Another School Record On Day Two Of The Betty Rogers Invitational

Virginia Beach, VA – Day Two of the Betty Rogers Invitational at Virginia Wesleyan University produced more accolades for the Regent University Men's and Women's Track & Field team as they produced two Event Wins and another School Record. 

Women's 100m 

Freshman Elizabeth Olojo (Hanover. MD) had a Top 10 finished with a Personal Record time of 13.87 seconds 

Junior Shylah Wells (Youngsville, NC) ran a Personal Record time of 14.29 seconds 

Women's 100m Hurdles 

Junior Kristi Moser (Indian Trail, NC) finished 2nd overall with a Personal Record time of 16.04 seconds. 

Women's 200m 

Freshman Elizabeth Olojo (Hanover. MD) ran a Personal Record 28.52 seconds 

Men's 400m 

Senior Joshua Vogt (Rochester, NY) finished with a Personal Record time of 54.34 seconds 

Freshman Creighton Hartsell (Newport News, VA) had a Personal Record 57.49 seconds 

Freshman Cayden Sierra (Newport News, VA) ran a Personal Record 1:02.95 

Women's 800m 

Freshman Gabrielle Butler (New Kent, VA) finished in 3rd place with a time of 2:33.41 

Freshman Louise Monga-Rochard (Toano, VA) earned a 4th place finish at 2:38.48 

Women's 1500m 

Freshman Louise Monga-Rochard (Toano, VA) ran a Personal Record time of 5:27.83 

Men's 1500m 

Sophomore Thomas Slingluff (Suffolk, VA) finished with a time of 4:27.30 

Freshman Bryce Nearman (Stafford, VA) ran a Personal Record of 4:50.74 

Freshman Xavier Gonzalez finished with a Personal Record time of 5:43.88 

Men's 4x400m Relay 

Hartsell, Nearman, Slingluff and Vogt ran a time of 3:42.51 

Men's Hammer Throw 

Junior Aidan Kingsborough (Clarkston, VA) broke the School Record and finished in 3rd place with a throw of 38.25m 

Women's Discuss 

Freshman Zacarah Hubbard (Virginia Beach, VA) won the event and threw a Personal Record 32.66m 

Freshman Mikaela Cole (Farmington, NY) finished in 6th place with a Personal Record throw of 27.45m 

Senior LaTonya Hopkins (Virginia Beach, VA) had a Personal Record throwing 23.64m  

Men's Discus 

Junior Aidan Kingsborough (Clarkston, WA) broke the School Record with a throw of 34.61m 

Senior Evan Pond (Powhatan, VA) threw a distance of 30.68m 

Senior Asher Ellis (Morganton, NC) had a Personal Record throw of 19.57m 

Men's High Jump 

Senior Kevin Cropper (Oak Hall, VA) won the event with a jump of 1.95m 

The Royals will be back in action on March 28th when they travel to Newport News to participate in the CNU Blue and Silver Challenge.  Start time is at 10:30am.
