Fredericksburg, VA – Day One of the Coast-To-Coast Athletic Conference Championships saw the Regent University Men's and Women's Track & Field team break two School Records, while also earning a second-place overall finish. In addition, the Royals had a finals qualifier for the 100m Hurdles and a Second Team All-Conference recognition.
Men's Long Jump
Senior Kevin Cropper (Oak Hall, VA) finished 6th overall with a jump of 6.28m
Men's Hammer Throw
Junior Aidan Kingsborough (Clarkston, VA) broke the School Record with a throw of 40.75m
Senior Nigel Rodriguez (Virginia Beach, VA) threw a distance of 33.82m
Women's Shot Put
Freshman Zacarah Hubbard (Virginia Beach, VA) led the way with a throw of 10.14 m
Senior LaTonya Hopkins (Virginia Beach, VA) finished with a distance of 9.34m
Freshman Mikaela Cole (Farmington, NY) had a throw of 9.32m
Freshman Daesha Hill (Williamsburg, VA) threw a distance of 9.19m
Women's Long Jump
Junior Kristi Moser (Indian Trial. NC) finished with a jump of 4.59m
Junior Shylah Wells (Youngsville, NC) jump a distance of 4.07m
Men's Shot Put
Junior Aidan Kingsborough (Clarkston, VA) threw a distance of 10.95m
Sophomore Jaxon Sawyer (Virginia Beach, VA) came in at 7.22m
Women's Hammer Throw
Freshman Mikaela Cole (Farmington, NY) finished 2nd overall, broke the School Record and earned Second Team All-Conference with a throw of 40.12m
Freshman Daesha Hill (Williamsburg, VA) threw a distance of 25.25m

Junior Kristi Moser (Indian Trial. NC) came in 4th to qualify for tomorrow's final with a time of 15.50 seconds

Junior Shylah Wells (Youngsville, NC) ran a time of 14.15 seconds
Sophomore Jordana Foose (Chesterfield, VA) came in at 14.50 seconds
Freshman Daria Easton (Freehold, NY) ran a Personal Record time of 15.15 seconds

Freshman Creighton Hartsell (Newport News, VA) finished with a time of 12.28 seconds
Senior Asher Ellis (Morganton, NC) had a time of 12.32 seconds
Freshman Cayden Sierra (Newport News, VA) ran a Personal Record time of 13.51 seconds
Regent will be back in action on Saturday, May 2nd when they compete in Day Two of the Championships. The action starts at 11:00am.
