Lexington, VA – The Regent University Men's and Women's Track & Field team traveled through the mountains to the VMI Invitational for their first meet this season outside of the Hampton Roads area. The Meet would be a two-day event with competition ranging from all levels of the NCAA Divisions.  However, the Royals are no strangers to that level of competition and were looking forward to showcasing their talents. 

On Friday afternoon, Junior Donovan Allen (Manassas, VA) started the day off for Regent in the 60M event, finishing with a time of 7.61, while Junior Shylah Wells (Youngsville, NC) ran a time of 13.21 in the 60M Hurdles.  To round at the short afternoon, Senior Anna Wade (Stafford, VA) finished 12tn the 5000M with a time of 23:20.52. 

Regent will be back in action tomorrow for Day Two of the VMI Invitational.  Events begin at 9:00am.
