Virginia Beach, VA – On Tuesday, the Coast-To-Coast Conference (C2C) officially released its pre-season volleyball rankings for the upcoming 2025 season. Regent University makes their first ever appearance in the polls coming in at #5 out of the seven conference members.
The Royals are coming off back-to-back double digit winning seasons which saw them capture an NCCAA South Region Championship, while also earning a berth in the National Championship tournament. Fourth year Head Coach and AVCA Thirty under 30 Award Winner Katelyn "K.T." Totherow returns a team led by 2024 NCCAA All-South Region First Team selection Junior Erin Saunders (Danville, VA), who was also a National Offensive Player of the Week last season. In addition, Saunders finished the year ranked nationally #3 in Kills/Set, #3 in Service Aces and #2 in Total Points, with her best performance coming in a win over #1 ranked (NCCAA DII) Boyce College, where she recorded a career high 25 kills and 18 digs. Senior Brielle Peltonen (Virginia Beach, VA), Junior Eliana Winn (Albuquerque, NM), Sophomore Alaina Braun-Duin (Richmond, VA) and Sophomore Madison Hardiman (Memphis, TN) round out the returners in addition to one transfer and seven freshmen.
Regent will open up the season on August 29th in Rocky Mount, NC when they participate in the North Carolina Wesleyan University Invitational.
